The Snitch bag

I already posted this on Craftgrrl, but I decided to post it here too!
I thought I needed a bag for the new school semester (I think I need a new bag too often Grin

) so I came up with this. It was inspired by a bag I saw on Delia's website, but I altered it a bit.
So here it is!

It's pretty big, because I need to fit my a4 size notebooks and books in it. I have never poked myself so many times with pins as during the making of this bag Angry

A close-up of the snitch. All hand embroidered.. and as a result my fingers hurt like hell.

one side pocket

the back zippered pocket.

the insides of the bag. The lining fabric is really great, with Gryffindor-like lions on it, but unfortunately you can't see them on this picture Undecided

I'll try to work on a tutorial this weekend as some people have requested one alreadyl, but I can't promise I'll definitely do it this weekend.

That bag is cool! I really love that lining with the hearts on it! Also you should definately post a tutorial!

Really fantastic bag. I love it. The hearts, although a minor element, totally complete it for me, even though they're mostly hidden

That is an AWESOME shape for a bag! I love the way it looks.

Been trying to make my own school bag, but somehow they always fall apart at the worst times, so I just buy backpacks on clearance.

I love that fabric, and the snitch looks very professional!

I had no idea what I thought it was going to be but I was very pleasantly surprised. The bag shape is so cute! I too, need a bag that can hold a good amount of stuff. I am eagerly awaiting your tute. Of course, I will have to get my sewing maching back from my friend who has had it for-evah!
