This is my first attempt at trim...so why on EARTH would I try, say, flat ribbon trim?

Because that's too damned easy!!  Okay okay, so this actually really intimidated me, but my bag just wasn't complete without it.  So, Off I went, and it went perfect!  I'm not going to post more pics, because I'm going to be selling this design, but this was the first run, and I'm SO happy!!!  I'm going to change the handle a bit, and maybe, if I can get the hang of them, add a pocket, but it's so small, it's nice to only have one place to lose things in Smiley

Here we go:

Well, whatcha think? Smiley

Well, I've gotten some feedback from people here at work, and I'll be changing the handle to a smaller, padded handle on D-rings, and probably marketing this design as a kid's purse.  Apprently, I look "silly" carrying it around!   Cheesy  I adore this purse, and I think I'm going to try and make a larger version that will hold more adult needs.  This barely, BARELY fits my checkbook.  I'll also be adding a harder bottom so that it can stand alone, instead of flopping.

Any ideas?  Criticisms?   Wink

That's a really cute purse.  I generally try to carry small purses myself, so it doesn't seem tiny to me.  I love the fabric, too!

I am an apologist for the spiders.

Just treat me no differently than you would the Tarantula Queen.

Thanks for your comments guys!  Smiley  I think I'm going to call this my Funky Circus Purse   Grin

I don't think I look silly, but I'm liking the handle less and less.  I'm going to replace it with a padded one hopefully this weekend.  But, I don't care what people think, but I like hearing their opinions!! Smiley

It's not a tiny purse, but it's definately smaller than most "adult" sized purses.  I think if I didn't carry a checkbook it wouldn't feel small at all Smiley

thanks for the feedback guys!  I appreciate it.
