This is my first attempt at making a bag. After many obstacles and two days, I finally got the outside done.

I cut all the peices for the lining but Im not sure where to go from here. Do I sew it together just like the outside part and leave an opening at the bottom? If so.. where exactly do I attach the lining at, the rim of the bag?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I just wanna be sure before I sew it on. Thank you!

Sew together the lining (leaving an opening at the bottom or side of the bag for turning), then sew together the outer fabric. Do these parts separately.

Next, flip the outer fabric to the right side. Leave the lining wrong side out and put the outer bag INSIDE the lining bag. Line up your seams/notches/whatchamadoodles and sew along the top.

Reach into the hole you left for the lining and pull the outer bag through the hole. At the same time, you should be turning the lining bag right side out. You'll look like you have a funky tube when you're done.

Push the lining down into the bag and topstitch along the upper edge of the bag to secure.

Ta da! Smiley
