Quick question of someone who has this book: Do you know which size handles I should buy? They come in 18" and 24" lengths, and correct me if I'm wrong but I can't see which size they used. They look like the 18"s right? Or is that 24??

And, please don't laugh at me, but what color are the handles and bottom of the bag? The website offers 9 choices: Denim, Forest, Red, Purple, Tan, Dark Brown or Black which can be seen here: http://www.somersetdesigns.com/Bags.html all the way at the bottom. What do you think, brown? Is that what they used in the pic.? I don't have the book here, but I think that's what it was.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think the 18" straps are the right size.  24" would probably be too long for the bag.  I also think that the color is the dark brown.  Maybe you could email Imaginknit to be sure.  The owners wrote the book.

Oh, and now I am adding this bag to my list of things to knit!  It's the best looking felted tote I've seen.  I didn't notice it until you started asking about it.

I think they are the tan, the yarn shoppe I work at carries these so I'm familiar with the colors. Or atleast I BELIEVE they are the same item, I hop I'm not going on about the wrong thing. ANyway, I think the color you are lookin at in the tan, and  I am pretty sure the measurement includes the wide part of the handles where you sew them on to the bag, which are appx 2" each, bringing the finished measurement to 14", and the other to 20".  It may be a good idea to contact the manufacturer to be sure Smiley

Thank you both for your help! I emailed the company that makes the handles last night and they already got back to me!

In case anyone comes back to this question in the future, the answer is: The 24 inch handles and bottom in dark brown.

Thanks again!
