I Mod Podged some light switch covers the other day from old calendars and wallpaper samples.

I've been told the Hello Kitty ones are creepy, but they just worked out that way.

I really like these!  I think I'm going to have to do something similar, I'm so sick of boring off-white everything.  Plus they're cool cuz when (if) you move, they come with you!

A question: I'm new to decoupage, did you cover them with anything?  I mean are they tough enough to stand up to the heavy wear around light switches?

And there IS something creepy about the cat with light switches for eyes...it reminds me of a Dali painting, you know how he always did men with a toaster for a hand or something.  Although maybe if the switches themselves were black, then it might look like eyelashes.  And you could put an eye on the underside!  (...or maybe not...)

The wallpaper samples and calendars were pretty heavy paper so I think they are going to stand up, if they don't I'll just re-do them. I didn't cover them with any thing. I put the Mod Podge on the cover and put the paper on top.

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!

The hello kitty one with the eyes is AMAZING! I have too many covers already, but I might try my hand at it to see what happenes. I may have to interchange my pates in every room on a monthly basis! I'm inspired!

I love those fish ones.  do you think this could be done with thinner paper, such as from a magazine?

I think it would work. The ones I made were thicker paper (old calendars and wallpaper). I bought the plates at a home improvement store for less than .50 cents each, so if it didn't work you wouldn't be out much
