As a girly-girl who secretly yearns to be goth...I would love it!!

But unfortunately I'm in the process of moving and the craft room is the first thing to go to the new house...*sigh*

Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!!

Yeah yeah yeah, sounds like awesome fun! I too can go either way depending on my mood - Siouxsie Sioux one day, Alannah Hill the next. Yay!  Wink

Well we definitely have interest -- excellent.  One little problem -- I won't be a legal swapper until 22-Jan and I think I need to join a swap and get positive feedback before I can actually host a swap.

So, I am going to do the unconditional swap, mail out on 22-Jan (the day I turn legal! hee hee), get positive feedback, and start this swap the day I get positive feedback.

I will PM each of you when this swap becomes official!

I had an idea similar to this and the swap for it is going to start shortly. It's called Craft My Scene, so it's not just limited to girly girls and goths, everyone can join no matter what 'scene' they're from.

This is the board for it.

Oh I'd be very interested... if I can get my post count up before then.

(Member for just over a year now and I only just posted my first message the other day.)

I'll be interested.  I've always wanted to do a swap but since I haven't done one yet and I just said I'd do the my scene swap and since I can't do two at the same time yet can we do this after that one is over?

I'd say I'm a girly girl more classic preppy than frilly....argyle, polka dots, think JCrew but I'm plagued with a horrible allergy to wool. I can do wool skirts and pants but nothing near my face. Which is unfortunate with all the COOL preppy stuff that comes in wool!

I also LOVE old school Goth music like the Sisters of Mercy, the Cure, Bauhaus, which became Love and Rockets. The bands "in my day" were just considered "alternative" but are now considered Goth or Dark Wave....that's pretty much what I still listen to. I hung out in the Goth clubs back in the day and from time to time I still rock the all black, dark make up and red lip stick and hit a club.

OT, but PinkyK, are you going to see Sisters on their 2006 Birthday Tour?

The closest they will be to me is Orlando and Atlanta. I'm trying to work it out with my work schedule.

That would rock!
