Ok so I kept seeing the bra purses and decided to use my mothers bra's for something good..
she no longer needs them since her breast cancer... so she was a good source of supplies...

I made my first attempt at a bra purse... and also a scented bra sachet..

Sorry about to hear about your Mom though. In the past two years, my favourite aunt had her breast lopped off and I lost another cool woman (who gave me her magazines and designer togs) to breast cancer. Aye.

I think padded bras would be better, but... mine are..well... ummm they dont need any extra padding...


actually there are some bad comments about these bags on the site...

obviously craftsters are more open minded than some people cause there are some negative comments..some were so bad I had to delete them.

bah...some people are such prudes...i think it's a great idea, especially to raise awareness for breast cancer!  don't let ignorant people get you down

The padded, underwire bra's work best for these.  Otherwise they are too slouchy.  I made my sister one that wasn't padded, but was underwire and it turned out okay, but is a little slouchy.  But on the up side, it was red velvet with black fringe and she loved it!

I'm glad to see someone else making these.  I've had several requests for them after I made the first one!  My cousin thought they were a riot and she wanted one for work for shock value!LOL

These are hilarious! I Have a bunch that need replacing so i am going to try this. Lane Bryant makes such pretty bras anyway I probably won't need to embellish too much.
