  Grin
I just finished this skirt and am quite pleased with myself. Cheesy  My mother in law gave me this old scarf (among other cool reconstructable finds) to do whatever with... It had this awful yarn fringe all around the edge and looked pretty "rough" when I got it.  Not sure exactly how old the scarf was, but my husband didnt remember seeing it before and he's 23. Cheesy   I used Simplicity pattern 0609 as a launch pad. Instead of elastic as the pattern calls for, I used a piece of ribbon for a drawstring.

Dont mind the old monitor on the floor int he background -hehe
I think it is dressy-day-at-work-worthy!

hehe. The drawstring is actually kinda rigged right now... Its basically a black ribbon hanging out of the casing and tied in a bow.  Tongue  You can see it hanging out on the pic a little.  I plan on making a button hole on the frotn side for the ribbon to stick out of. Cheesy
Thanks for the compliments!!
