I used 0.  You could probably use larger needles if you want.  I just used the smallest I had.

If you used a spool to knit it, could you just do 3 seperate cords and seam them together in the end?

Wow this is wicked awesome! I was trying to figure a way to keep my iPod earbud wires warm. Since the winter's here are cold, and yeh the wires tend to freeze and crinkle up.

So very cool thank you! I would have never though of making headphone sleeves!
