That is the sweetest little sweater - very beautifully done.  I keep thinking that a baby sweater might be the way to start a sweater....

Your sweater is beautiful!  You should feel very proud of it.  i'm sure your friend is going to be very happy, who doesn't love getting handmade gifts??   Grin

I can hardly finish any of my knitting projects, i have two half finished sweaters for my hubby.   Undecided

Thank you everybody! It made me feel happy to come and see the nice replies.  It was really fun to knit, and hopefully I'll get faster.

I'm not sure I could finish a grown-up size sweater, either! I'm poring over patterns trying to find one I really love so I won't give up during the boring middle bit.

What a sweet little sweater. If I had a baby, I'd totally love to dress her in that Smiley.

Your sweater is great! I too just knitted this sweater for a coworker who is having a baby girl. I also found a bootie and bonnet pattern to match. I googled the pattern and there was a history of the 5 hour baby sweater with the other patterns on it. Wasn't it fun to knit?

Charming!!!!

Baby clothes are such fun projects, aren't they?  You're done before you get bored, and they're just so stinkin' cute!

Plus, baby sweaters make very amusing hats!
