This was a crewel (I think?) kit I found at the thrift store for 75 cents. It was unopened even. I'd never done anything like this before but for .75 I had to try. So I finished last night and except for a few weird places I'm pretty pleased with them! Now I just have to find a nice place to hang them. What do you think?

OH MY GOSH!  I can not believe you found something like that.  My Mom made those exact ones for me when I was little and I had then on my wall until I was way to old.  Hmm I wonder if she still has them.  She also made ones of little boys for my brother.

Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories.  You did a great job!

Thanks for all the nice comments! They really were fun to make. I've only done cross-stitch before so these were a fun change. I think I'm addicted now...if I find more I may just have to get them!

I was wondering if there were little boy ones. I'd have to get them if I saw them.....

Yes they were little boys.  Playing outside one had a dog I can not remember what the other 2 were.   My mom says she still has them.  I will try to take a picture of them and post it.

My mom made the same exact ones for me too.  These bring back memories.
