I want to take an old book and have it on display, open to the middle pages.  I want the pages to be "firm" and stick together withought moving, or changing pages.  How can this be done?  Undecided

It be kind of a pity to glue pages together in my opinion.

What about making a stand for it, that would hold it open and hold the pages down?  Or finding a stand that would do that?

I have seen them done with resin. People paint the page edges gold and glue a poem to each of the pages. Usually religous or inspirational. Then they paint it with resin or something similar because they have a high plastic-y gloss. Could be diamond finish varethane too, i'm not sure.
Hope this helps.
