I just had to make this when I saw it. I love everything Hello Kitty. Thanks Malinki for sharing the idea!!! Its amazing how many people think it is so cute when I wear it in public. I didn't care what people thought, but I was pretty sure I would get some weird looks. However, I didn't. So for all of you that don't think you can pull it off, just try it.

Wow, that is so cool Orangegurli! It looks just like mine... I wore mine all the time when it was colder and people always asked where I bought it and were really possitive about it... I am quite a preppy/conservative dresser and it still looked cute and not to over the top... without the flaps too it is a little easier to wear.

Yeah I am the same way - Preppy/conservative. My friends laughed at me when i wore it at first, but they all still loved it. I agree that it wears better without the flaps. Yay Hello Kitty pride!

I love these and think that they are so adorable. I'm really dying to make one for my 3 year old daughter (who has no idea who Hello Kitty is) because it'd be soooo cute on her little noggin.

And on a totally non-knitting related (but Hello Kitty related) comment:
My husband reads Spiderman comics and they totally reference Hello Kitty, it cracked me up!

This mod is simply adorable - I think I'll have to tack it onto my endless list of projects to make for a friend.
Thanks for sharing, guys!

Why not make a yellow bow as well? Then you can be Kitty or Mimmy, as the mood takes you. Tongue
