I liked your hat so much that I just had to make one for my sister. I have plenty of yarn leftover so I may make more for myself and friends. I'll probably omit the pompoms next time because these were huge.

That is so incredibly adorable! And I love the interchangeable bow idea. That would be lovely. I might have to knit one up for my daughter.

The pattern is online, her. Looks like the hat pictured in the original post is just made with all white yarn and no earflaps, ties, or pom-poms. Then of course there is the bow, I think she said how she made it somewhere in the thread.

I made it with a removable red Hello Kitty style bow, which is just two strips of red stocking stitch sewed together with a safety pin to fasten it to the hat.

There it is. Also she said she made it longer to cover her ears...so just added on some extra rows before the reduction rows. Oh, and she used a chunky yarn, probably just something that did 4sts per inch on 11s?? Or that is what I'm guessing. Then again most of this post was conjecture. Tongue

Exactly what Shadkitty said... no pattern for the bow just a couple of strips of stocking stitch with a safety pin on the back...

I honestly don't know the gage of the yarn, I made it so long ago it seems, but I think it was the same as the original pattern gauge wise, so if you chose yarn according to the recommendations in the pattern it will be correct... I used cheapy acrilic as it was one of my first knitting projects.
