My grandmother sent me a turtleneck sweater for Christmas, and I knew I would never wear it, so I decided to turn it into a dress.

This is what I started out with, minus the turtleneck:

And these are some of the steps I went through to turn it into a cute little dress:

And the (almost) final product:

All I have to do now is hem the underarm part, and fix the stitching holding the shoulder/cowl thing on.

Thank you =) I'm thinking of going to some thrift stores to look for some more sweaters to convert now that I have a good idea on how to do it =)

Fantastic work! The lines and texture work so well with how you've cut and sewn it. My Mum just gave me a turtleneck that I need to de-turtle but I've been nervous because necklines intimidate me, so thanks for the inspiration Smiley
