amccarter recieved the coin purse I sent her and asked that I post a picture.  I was undecided between making a coin purse and a felted flower pin, so I made this instead.  I too had major swap anxiety over this one....

flyleaf_lvr's picture links are wonko so i'm reposting them  Smiley She loves math and pi and computer stuff, and her favorite colors are bright blue and lime green...so here:
the front of her soft and tiny zipper-pouch math kit, with embroidery and easy beadwork

the back, with quilted squares and stencilled numbers of pi

and half of the inside, with a tiny abacus and some instruments (ruler, set squares, etc) that i made out of aluminum scraps

the other side inside has a little graph paper pad and pencil in a pocket with a computer badge.   It was fun to make - before we got assigned partners i had this list of things i might make but this wasn't on the list ...just a response to flyleaf_lvr and her interests  Cheesy

I'm seriously impressed with everybody's crafts so far, I've gone searching for other things some of you guys have made because your skills are really impressive.

Great job on that, tiph.  You used so many neat ideas to make one tiny thing.  It reminds me of a CD case.  Is it that size, or smaller?

ctgirl--you also combined ideas really nicely.  The felted flower coin purse is pretty.  Not really a color that leads to clear photos, is it?  I wish we could see all these things in person!

It's a bit smaller than a CD case. And thanks, Morning Star and tiph_thompson for fixing the pictures. Don't know what happened.  Huh I too, must ship late because of postal holidays. Oh well, gives me an extra day to pretty it up!

I received the most beautiful set of barettes from the_littlest_ninja! The leaves are felt with crochet flowers accentuated with twisted silver wire and pearl branches.

Yeah I really have swap anxiety now! Eek

ohhh.... ~sigh~ ....those are so beautiful.  I wish I knew somebody who could teach me to crochet in person. I've tried from books and just can't get it.  Knitting, we're good, but crochet for some bizarre reason is beyond me, but those barettes are giving me renewed resolve.

that is just so so awesome. i love it. i love math, too. Smiley

Smiley i'm glad you like it.  it's not really 'pretty' or anything, but it makes me happy.
