heyy what about a "zines/ DIY publications" section under the "paper" area (where scrapbooking is, etc). i did a search for "zine" and most of the topics were in scattered sections, and i'm sure a lot of people put out small publications like that...so maybe?  Grin

that sounds like a good idea as i've been looking for the right place to tell people about my indie fanzine fuzzy bird which is about music, film, crafts (and birds!)

if anyone is interested in reading it please get in touch! (details at www.fuzzybird.co.uk - the website isn't finished but it looks nice!)

Excellent idea, I'm really interested in the whole idea of zines, and I don't know a whole lot about how they're done. I definitely think they count as crafty enough to have their own board.

I think that it would inspire a lot of people to create zines, including myself.

Whats neat about zines is that they're deliciously underground. More underground than music. They're not as commonplace as some band that practices in a basement.

In that aspect, its difficult to find people with zines...but its even more difficult to find HOW people make their zines.

I think it would be incredibly cool.

I've always wanted to make a zine!  A forum for ideas and how-to's would be really grand...

I definitely agree on this. I would love to see how people make them, even if I don't.
