I think a polymer clay techniques board would be really cool.  I love learning new things, and some websites that have tutorials are really vague or poorly written.  Craftster people seem to write the best tutes.

Well, I would definitely agree with having a polymer board!  Grin  Grin

Also, since polymer clay can be used to do so many different types of things, the few ideas and lessons here are scattered all over the place (and can also be hard to search for because people are likely to call polymer clay by other words or by their brand names --like Fimo or Sculpey or Premo, or polyclay, or they may misspell polymer, etc.).

If you don't end up getting your fill of polymer talk, techniques, questions answered, etc., here at craftster, and no new board is created, then you should definitley join one or more of the online polymer clay groups too.  There are some which deal with specific areas like miniatures or figures or jewelry, for example, but there are several quite large and active boards and also mailing list groups (yahoogroups esp.) which deal with all aspects of polymer clay (these have many more topics and things to do with clay than what you'll generally see here).

(If you do decide you're interested in getting more descriptions and contact info for the polymer-only groups, you can check 'em out on this page:

YES! Thank you for suggesting this! I hate having to search the whole site for polymer clay projects and techniques. I think polymer clay is a common enough medium used to where it should have it's own board.

Ditto the polymer clay board. Such a kick butt medium should have its own space. I use polymer clay, but I'm sure I'd use it more if some of the techniques were put in plain language such as we use here.
