Freddy Scarf

I made this for my husband.  It was kinda hard finding the right shade of red and green, it could stand being a little dingier shade, but it's okay.   But, I'm never doing stripes again.  I tried running the color I wasn't using up along one side, but that was annoying.  So I ended up just changing colors at the end of a stripe.  Then I had to weave in all those ends.  Nope, never again.  lol.     Well, maybe.

The sides are a little wavy because I used Simply Soft for the red and the green is that Supersaver yarn.  I wish we could've found a green in the simply soft because the supersaver was icky to work with, and probably isn't as comfortable.  It's a little stiff too because the yarns not all that great, but hey...Mikey likes it.      Sorry, I shouldn't have done that.  lol.

   I'll have to make Jeremy another one that doesn't just end up as a decoration in his room.

what size needles did you use?  It looks great!

If you want it to be a bit dingier, you can try dyeing it with coffee (might not work with some yarns though), but frankly, I think it looks epic as it is.

OH excellent! I have a friend who would KILL for that. What were the colors you used? I think they're dead on.

You know, just the other day, my cousin loaned a sweater of the same shades to my mom — he said it's meant for this Halloween's costume: Freddy. I wonder if he'd appreciate a scarf to go with it?

Ah yes, Freddy Krueger, wasn't it? Except he wore a sweater of the same colors, I think. I think the scarf came out great. I love the colors. If the green had been too bright, it would have been to Christmas-y. I think the green is a nice color. Works well.

Thanks everyone    Freddy did have a sweater, but I just started knitting and the scarf took long enough, hehe.  I'm hesitant to start a sweater since I know I wouldn't have the patience if it didn't come out the right size (which it probably wouldn't).

I used size 8 needles and the colors were Simply Soft - Autumn Red and Red Heart Supersaver in Medium Thyme.
