This Christmas was a "only free gifts to each other" holiday for my husband and I.  We're tightening the purse strings due to a little addition due in the spring.

Here are some geeky onesies that I made for the baby to wear when out with his/her computer geek dad.

Perl code (the only non-stitched one)

Fantastic. Wink I'm digging the Hello World script and the classic mac (only it NEEDS the sad frown that the icon used to have if things went wrong - do a google search for "sad mac", it's so cute!).

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!  I had a blast thinking these up and you should have seen the look on dad's face when he opened them... "YOU MADE THESE!?!"  totally worth the effort Smiley

I thought of putting the "start up happy mac" on it, but I have a tendency of ruining projects by adding too much.  Maybe on the next set.

I have set the onesies up in their own album, so that you can see all of the pictures plus the work she did on the packaging, and created a new blog post about them:

Geeky Onesies A Hit!

Thanks to all you Crafsters for the warm reception and the publicity! :-)

I should mention that the packaging material was just the original packaging that the onesies came in. She took out the onesies to do the embroidering, then took out the paper liner and flipped it over to the blank white side to make her package design. Then she just packaged it all back up with her design facing out. Pretty cool!

You're right, and I'm surprised I didn't notice it until now, seeing as I program in Perl every day. I guess I was just so thrilled with the overall design of the shirts that it slipped past me. Well, we can still make good use out of it. Baby's first lesson will be, "find the error in the Perl code on the front of your shirt". Smiley

In any case, I give my wife a heck of a lot of credit for even *trying* to put Perl code on a shirt, considering that she is not a programmer!
