The "formula" for bra sizing doesn't work very well for me. I was professionally fitted as a 32D, but then the left cup fit fine and I had muffin boob on the right. And 32DD bras? Yeah, it would be rough to find... and it is (just for trying-on purposes.)

Keep in mind that breasts aren't always equal, one of nature's cruel jokes to women. One thing about bra patterns that I don't like are the changes between the band size and the cup sizes. For example, the Kwik Sew pattern I'm using has 32 D, but NO DD in the package. Then next size up starts with 36 band for DD cup size. Sucks hardcore.

I'm thinking it may just be easier to buy two bras with different cup sizes and cut them apart for two well-fitting cups. I can't fit into a D cup, and enlarging the pieces won't work so easy. Want to learn how to draft a pattern without draping... that would be way too rough for me.

PixieSkull, there's also a much longer bra thread called Bramaggeddon that you might like reading through.  There are many links to other sites with very helpful information, including how to make your own bra using an existing one that fits you well.  Smiley
