Cheesy Seriously new to felting!! (Got the first 100% wool I have ever owned that wasn't already a sweater in the mail 2 hours ago)! Was originally planning to try spinning it. . . annoying husband "borrowed" the dowel rod I had purchased to make a CD drop spindle. But I wanted to try a little felting anyway, so that was a fine excuse. Put down the precious ballquickly read the "felt a bead" tute (eternal gratitude to Lise), grabbed a chunk, ran to the sink and viola!

I must be PMSing or finally pregnant, because I immediately burst into tears! What joy is there in life for those strange non-crafty people?Huh Took me at least 15 minutes to calm down long enough to get a pic!

I am so dang glad I have you all to share with!! Whew.I've gotta sit a minute. Cheesy

I have a name for that instant in wet felting when the fibers transform:
*getting a stiffy*

Felting is like magic. I'm sure you will continue to get a thrill everytime you make something out of felt.

Congrats!! That's a beautiful shade of green, and oh so round!

I'm very very bad at spinning... so I think that I might just start felting... where might I find this "felt a bead" tute? I haven't been able to find it using the search feature.  Sad

edit: I am a dork. I just found it.

Congratulations! Wet felting is a really nice and sensual craft isn't it? To feel something literally evolving in your hands... Wink
I take it you have a cat (your Avatar suggests it at least). If you felted a bigger ball it would make a great cat toy. My one loves his!

Give me an hour and I'll give you your dream...

Congrats! Gotta love that "I did it! I made this!" feeling. And I'm sending you (((positive)))) vibes, we're trying too. Here's to cool babies in funky handmade clothes! (with green felted beads!)

Know why chicken coops have 2 doors?

If they had 4 doors they'd be chicken sedans.
