Hello all...I am in a quandary.  I have been asking my significant other to crochet a simple rasta style hat for me for a few years now.  She is very busy and never has the time.  I could go out and buy one, but I would really like to have a handmade one.  What do I need to know in order to crochet one myself?  Are there books for clumsy beginners like me?  Thanks in advance for the help  Smiley

Well, I think that you could do some damage with this pattern:  http://www.crochetpartners.org/PatternLibrary/CPpat72.html

All you need to do is come up with a really cool color scheme and you're all set.

Oh, don't forget to check out the dreddie tam crochetalong.
