Our intention is not to exclude anyone, so I would say any tin of about the same size would work. You would have to be able to put creative little things in it, though!   Smiley

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box

Oh wow, i really like the sound of this swap although I'm *totally* intimidated by some of the gorgeous tins I've seen on here!

Oh, I totally want to be in.

And on another note...I'm seriously contemplating making that little surfer tin for a friend of mine. That would be an excellent present.

I just won a lot of 35 tins on ebay. Yep, 35. Don't know what I'm gonna do with 'em all, but wanted to mention that even if you don't like to eat the altoids there are places you can score the tins. But if you don't want to do that any minty tin should work.

I am so excited everyone else is excited about this swap!

For anyone who doesn't like the mints or can't get them, here is a good site:

http://www.clayalley.com/tins.htm

Scroll down just a bit.  The plain metal tins are the same size as Altoid tins, only unpainted or white.
If you order from them, the shipping listed is an overestimation - mine ended up being half of what it said it would be.

That site is fantastic!!!
The lot I won ended up at about 65 cents/each including shipping, but most of the time the bidding on ebay goes way higher like $1.25 ea. - which is just plain dopey. That site is really helpful, thanks for posting it!
