Signups are posted! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77695.0

stifflersmom and I have been batting around an idea for a themed Altoid tin swap. Basically, you and your partner would each give each other a list of possible themes that you would like to receive. Say one of the themes you list is "cupcakes", and your partner chooses that as the theme for your tin. Your partner would then decorate the tin around that theme, and then fill it with cupcake related items. Obviously, they would have to be small cupcake related items. Maybe some fimo cupcake beads, or little gift enclosure cards with cupcake images, or even some birthday candles. Along the lines of the One Tiny Thing swap, you would only be allowed to send the tin and contents, so this would be a quick and relatively inexpensive swap. You could mail in a 5x7 padded envelope, saving on postage as well.

If there is interest, we will probably post for signups in a couple of weeks, as soon as the swaps we are each currently organizing are complete.

What do you think? Sound like fun? Suggestions or changes to the idea?

This sounds like a fun idea. I have a ton of Altoids tins and even the round sours ones just waiting to have something done to them!

I've never done a swap on Craftster before, but I would definitely be interested in this one.

This would be fun!  Are we limiting this to altoid only or any minty type of tin?  Big uns or small uns or both?  Enquiring minds want to know.

i'd totally be in -- i like the idea of using the size restriction to force us to think creatively.

I'd love to be in.... But, I only have two empty altoid tins... and one full... and i have plans for those.... Altoid tins are really hard to find in Australia, well... actually... Impossible, kinda, i just found a place that sell them, but its in a different state to me.... haha

So, would I be able to... If i did this swap, to find an equivalent sized tin, or two smaller ones... to use for this swap..Huh
