Give me a week or two to go absolutely cuckoo.

Here are most of the projects I completed as christmas gifts for my loving family.  Not pictured are the two other ribbed hats I knitted (for my husband and my uncle), the "Purl" scarf I made for my mom, the ribbed scarf I knitted for my husband, and the additional set of wristwarmers I made for my aunt Susie.

So, here they are:

That's the lot of them.  In the bottom right is a beer cozy I decided against giving as a gift.  Not because it was tacky, but because it was totally impractical.  The beer would have slipped right out.

I made three sets.  These two were for men.  In two different lengths.  The third set (for my aunt) were made of a gorgeous red Manos yarn and were super long.

The two hats were for my brother in law and his two year old son.

I made FIVE of those bags for Last Minute Knitted Gifts.  And FOUR "Airy" scarves.

I don't know if you can tell, but I made the skinny scarf witht he fringe out of what Kidsilk I had leftover from the Airy scarves.  And, I made the multi-color pouch out of the Blue Sky Alpaca I had leftover from the four other pouches.

I knitted brooches with Bliss Cotton and Silk, made matching earrings (they are the things dangling off the bottom), and stuffed it all into a miniature version of the Last Minute pouch.

Who doesn't love a little baby sweater?  Me, that's who.  I HATE FINISHING SWEATERS.
Actually, these were my very first attempt at a sweater of any size.

Thanks for looking!

I applaud you for finishing all of that!

I had three scarves, a clapotis, two hats, a pair of baby mittens to make.

I made a scarf and a half, a hat and a pair of baby mittens.  Did I take any pictures?  Of course not!  Why would I think of doing that?  Considering I finished most of it Christmas Eve-Eve and needed to wrap things to give on Christmas Eve, I did well.

The half-finished scarf will be sent next week, I hope, the clappy will be a mother-in-law's day gift, the hat will be done whenever I feel like, it's just for my dad.

I want to make something for ME!

Great job!  The knitted gift bags look great!

And congrats on the first sweaters!  They're so cute.  Where is that pattern from?

My goodness!  That's terrific!  I love the contrasting color on those ribbed hats.  It would have taken me years to complete all that Wink

Wow that is all so beautiful. You've inspired me to plan for next Christmas so people get lovely coordinated gifts. I hope I'm still inspired next fall!

thanks everyone!

i started knitting about two months before christmas. . . .NOT enough time!  at the end i was knitting all day at work and in the car on the way to houston and even at home up until relatives came over.

the baby sweaters, the beer cozy and the ribbed hat all came from is from The Knit Knack Kit.

i thought i had enough yarn. . .was trying to keep the expenses low, and ended up having to scrounge together and eventually go out and buy more anyway.  PLAN AHEAD!

anybody else knit all their christmas gifts?
