The only people who ever *should* feel ashamed are flakers.  Cortag, we all admire your effort and think you did the right thing in sending some "extras" so that your partner ended up wtih goodies.  Thanks for inspiring everyone with a neat revamp idea.  Perhaps the collective genius of Craftster can figure out a way to make your design idea work the next time!!

I agree as well! The theme and all was great, and if it had turned out well it would have been fantastic!  Wink Sometimes however, materials dont do what we want them to! I know that i stressed about this swap and really am still stressing about my purse!  Cheesy

speaking of my purse, stifflersmom, I WILL be sending on monday. I will be finishing it today, if it doesnt piss me off too much! haha i really need to get over this perfectionist issue i have with my work!  Roll Eyes

PLEEAAASE don't feel bad Cortney!!!  You certainly did not flake and i know you spent a ton of time fussing over the stubborn purse trying to get it to cooperate!  I do truly love the map theme, and the way you had strategically burned it here and there to make it look old was great!  I am going to figure out a way to turn those maps you sent me into a purse and wallet of some sort...I love all the state maps you sent, and I appreciate so much that you sent them!  Part of revamping something is that you have to take a risk with your materials, and you did!  The darn purse was just  NAUGHTY.   Smiley

Thank you for your efforts Cortney, and please don't worry about it!  Swap on!

You know how people make purses out of kool-aid packets. You could cut squares of different maps and make a purse with them. It could be cool.

Check out rackycoo's woven magazine purse thread. It would be mondo cool to do it with maps!!

Revamps are risky business, but bravo for the bold and brilliant attempt!

hmmm....woven maps.....that could be very cool...i will hunt down the thread for that one!  I was also thinking that they would be cool covered in vinyl, and then made into a snazzy clutch of some kind.....

I received my purse from Seaofstars today and it is fabulous.  It was a plain old leopard print purse and with a few added touches it turned into this.

She also included lots of goodies.  A fairy make up bag, a fairy card, tattoos, cute earrings, stars on a string, and a second button accessory for the purse.

Thanks Seaofstars for a great swap.

I'm so glad you like your purse sunshinefairy!  Cheesy

That lady of yours gave me a run for my money!  had found the fairy fabric after I recieved your info, but before I recieved the purse.. and was frustrated when I couldn't figure out a way to use it.

I love my purse and other goodies (which all smell so nice  Smiley ) and it was fun swapping with you!

thanks stifflersmom  Smiley
