Hoorah! I finally got my purse (due to some postal mixups) from crafty_dame!

She didn't cover up the lovely pinstripes, (which was a good thing.. ha)... but she did add some nice blue vinyl-ish stars, and green.. um.. tulle? Perhaps. (I'm bad with fabric names). The straps also became all blue vinyled, and there's a nice fabric-y lining with a zipper pocket (instead of the silly plastic-y stuff that was there.. Smiley )

Thanks crafty_dame! (Photos to come, from one of us at least!)

hurraay! i'm so glad you finally got it! i guess given the number of packages i send, it was about time for me to screw up the address, but i'm sorry you had to wait!

here are some pics.
first, here's the before again -

and the finished purse-

she said she liked gothy stuff, but she also liked japanese street style with the bright colours, and she didn't want me to cover up the pinstripes. so i added blue vinyl stars and green tulle to decorate it and add some colour. the tulle at the top looks kinda funky, but it didn't in real life!
and the inside-

i don't have a before of the inside, but it was just wierd plasticy black stuff. psyche wanted a zippered pocket, so i made sure to put one in.

i replaced the straps with new ones that i made using the blue vinyl, inside them are pieces of aquarium tubing to help them keep their shape. she said that she liked straps that she could wear over her shoulder, and the original had really short straps, so it was good motivation to make new longer ones.

I have no idea what Japanese street style is as I am old, but I think those stars are just the cat's pajamas!
The lining is wild! Great job!

i'm glad everyone likes it!

there's an awesome japanese mag that i like to get, but i can't imagine getting a subscription - one issue costs almost $15! i don't know how to translate the name, but it's full of really awesome alternative/punk style clothes and EGL (elegant gothic lolita) and i just love it.

Nice purse!  Love the stars and the tulle.  I personally didn't think it looked like any pajamas you'd see on a cat, but does look like a great bag to carry around!  Wink
