Here's my fantastic package from pennies4sale:

A painted cosmo box

Etched glass shot glasses (there were some really nicely-done martini glasses, which unfortunately didn't make it all in one piece)

Embossed 'Cheers' cards

and these fantastic coasters, which double as recipe cards. All the recipes are mocktails, because the town that I live in is a dry community, no alcohol allowed.

We're not allowed to have alcohol anywhere, there is a pretty steep fine for possession. It actually isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm still glad that I get to go home to ontario three times a year! I do miss my martinis.

Where do you live??  I've heard of dry towns before where the stores and restaurants can't sell liquor, but DAMN not even in your own home??

I would be in jail by now.   Cheesy

I'm in Nunavut, Canada. I live in a town called Arviat. It has about 2600 people, the population is 96% Inuit, 4% Other. It's pretty cool. (oh, ain't I punny! sorry) The liquor thing is more of a bylaw, but we are really not supposed to have anything. It isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but I do miss going out.
There's a map on this page that shows where we are.http://ca.epodunk.com/profiles/nunavut/arviat/2000096.html

Cool stuff beans!  I think, in honor of beans "dry" town, we should all buck it up and have a couple extra drinks for her.  It's the least we can do.  Cheers beans!  An extra martini (or two) will be consumed in your honor.  Who else is ready to go the extra mile for a fellow martini-lovin' craftster?   Grin

Nunavut! (Sorry to burst in, but I've been stalking this swap... haha)

That's highly exciting to me! I'm Canadian... but Ontario, which isn't very exciting at all... but I've never heard of anyone actually living in Nunavut...  Roll Eyes Smiley
