I loved knitting this, it is the most wonderful pattern.  It basically is just a row on the front and one on the back and then the cable row.  You just memorize these and away you go.  It was a great project for watching TV.  I used Cascade 220 and I love it.

wow it's awesome

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

That is beautiful! It's been on my list forever, must get to it!  How much yarn did you use?  Did you use more than one skein of the cascade 220?

Great job!  The perfect, essential scarf for every knitter to have in their repertoire.  Guess I need one!  Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful. It's definitely going on my infinite 'To Knit' list. Somewhat simplistic, but at the same time, it looks very complicated. I love scarfs like that!

It took about a skein and a half of the cascade 220 - I would buy 2 skeins and then have some left over for a little something or other.

The pattern is here and FREE!:  http://www.helloyarn.com/irishhikingcarf.htm

I also have made the arm warmers with the same motif from her website for my sister.
