So cute! I was actually browsing through a magazine today in search of vintage-y patterns like this one.

I really like this. It really suits you too.

When I become more sewing-machine-pro, I'd like to try my hand at this style of shirt.

How cute! I'm of the opinion that you should keep the tie/sash/thing. I think it's really cute and it brings some white down from the collar.

thanks for all your feedback, guys! It has mase me feel very positive. I can't wait to try my hand at something else Smiley

divinefaeriette: you should just go for it. you don't need to be a pro-sewer to give it a go... just enjoy the process and the result will be fun, even if it isn't quite professional!

That fabric is awesome! What is it, cotton?

I have a knee-length flouncy khaki skirt that would look PERFECT with that shirt. I may have to attempt to make it now. And get navy maryjanes. (:

Yup! Because it's jersey, it's super stretchy, and fits over my head like any old t-shirt: how easy-peasy is that? I made it just a wee bit looser than form-fitting so I don't have to go about feeling uncomfortable about tummy-issues or anything. And because it's stretchy it's hyper-comfortable.

Everything about that top is great!

I love the collar.  It kind of makes me think of Girl from the web comic "Cat and Girl" who always wears a little Peter Pan collar shirt (which is a good thing as she is very cute).

That is SO cute. I love the collar, the sleeves, and of course, the pattern. (I <3 Polka-dots.)

I'd love to learn to make something like this, considering it's the kind of top I'd see at a store and buy without even thinking about it.
