I saw a TV clip once where crows in Australia would drop nuts they wanted cracked open on a pedestrian crossing. The cars would drive over them and crack them and then when the light turned green for pedestrians the crows would fly down and collect their nuts.

The crows in Washington used to do this in my neighborhood when I lived there! They were always dropping nuts in front of cars. It felt like we were being attacked. It was funny! We used to leave out coins on the lawn and bits of tin foil and the crows would steal them for their nests.

Someone please start a crow thread and move this mess into it!!! I can't help myself.
