OH MY!! Fan-FREAKING-tasitc. I can't wait to try my hand at these. No more magazine buying guilt for me!! Shall we spray them with a polyurithane coat to seal??

I made a bigger one at home this weekend, too, for a friend's housewarming gift.  It's a little lopsided, but still looks cool.  I used ModPodge for that one, and I think it is sturdier, and the finish is different.

You can make the bottom as wide as you would like. If you want it to be a bowl, you probably just need to add more slats.
