This was such an awesome idea, I had to try it myself. Mine don't look very professional or anything but I still love them and I'm going to try a few more in different shapes and clean them up a bit to make them look better. Anywho, here are mine...

Wondful bowls!  I am getting back into crafting, and this looks like a great start.

However, since I new-again to crafting, I am not clear on a couple of things:

 - How do you make the slats?

 I understand you cut the pages out of the magazine/catalog and fold them.  After they are folded corner to corner... do you fold them around?

  (So it is basically a "smooshed tub")

 Or do you keep folding it over.. so it has an open end?

 - When rolling:  Are you basically attaching one strip to the other so they keep going in the same direction?

Hope this make sense...

I love the bowls, but I have a few questions.  I tried my hand at them last night, and perhaps it was the TheraFlu haze, but I couldn't get mine quite right.
1.  Are you folding them diagonally when you say corner to corner?
2.  When I roll them up, I'm having a hard time keeping the slats from bunching.  Any tips?
Thanks so much, I can't wait to have one for myself! Cheesy

these are great! i like to pick up magazines from the back of bookstores (they tend to throw out old mags, and simply tear off the covers so they can't be re-sold), now i know what to do with them when i'm done reading!!
* thanks!! *
