I made this one today during my lunch break from studying.  I picked up the quilted nylon material for uber-cheap while i was in NYC's Garment District.  I dig it.
(wow, pictures from behind are NEVER flattering, are they?)
and it's got a little pocket on the front, great for my cell phone.

Really cool.  Did you have a pattern or just make it up?  Please, some instructions!!!  I'd really like to make one of those.

it's actually Simplicity 9000.  i probably could have done it myself, but i had bought the pattern for another bag style, and as i only had a yard of this material, i figured it would look cool in this design.  it's really simple.  there's a square for the front, and then the a "top" with the strap for the front.  the back is one piece (square and strap).  there's a little pocket on the front too.  you'll see if you check out the pattern.  i think joann's is having Simplicity for 99cents on friday and saturday this week.  ideally, i could have made it adjustable, but i just followed instructions and sewed the strap to the bag.  i also didn't feel like driving out to the store to get a release clip.

amelia bedelia: not hard to sew with at all.  my machine had no problems with it.  on the other hand, my iron did....hehe.  the fabric has nylon only on one side, and the back of the material is just the batting.  sooo...i guess i'd turned up the iron accidentally, and when i went to press a seam out, i burned some of the batting.  oops.  my iron recovered well.  that piece of the bag didn't, so i had to fix it.  so note to anyone: use the low setting on the iron with this fabric.  trust me.
