I wore these work today, and other than being ridiculously uncomfortable, they looked awesome and held up well. I was worried about how well the hot glue would last, but it did just fine.  I switch shoes after 6 hours on my feet, so they are currently at work. I'll remember to bring them home tomorrow and get the fiance to snap a picture! Smiley

Thanks for all the compliments!! Go forth and knock off more shoes!

truly a million times better than the shoes that inspired you.
suggestion for glue if you find it needs something else, E6000 glue. I buy mine at Joanns. It's pretty amazing glue. Way better than regular super glue.

Those are super cute! I have a bunch of shoes sitting around in my closet that I never wear. This has inspired me to jazz them up a bit. And I agree... yours are way better than the original.

way cute.
if you put clear nailpolish at the ends of the ribbon and rick rack it will keep it from fraying
if thats what you meant by 'riding up'

Now that I'm reading this, I'm not sure exactly _what_ I meant by the rick-rack and ribbon "riding up".  I think I meant it peeling off, since it was hotglue. Sadly I haven't worn them since, I work retail on my feet all day and I really have to work up the motivation to wear 4" heels all day. It's really exhausting!

I'm already out of my cute outfit today and into the jammies, I'll try to take a picture soon!
