While I've been biding time waiting for my LYS's New Year's Sale, I was determined to keep my knitting needles clean (stupid, I know)

But anyway instead, I did a bunch of amigurumi!

They are all from Amigurumi Collection Vol 1 (a japanese Amigurumi craft book)

And more info and ISBN info can be found on the links below the pictures.

First, a kitty:

more details here

And finally, a flock of sheep (since I can't keep my own  Wink )

more details here
I am especially pleased with these guy's collars Smiley They are red velvet ribbon with little red roses!

Updated - I have one more grouping of animals to show for the end of 2005 - (what can I say, it was a productive week away from work!)
5 Birds - to bring some brightness and cheer for the New Year!

Side & rear views of the birds as well as a bit more details and commentary availible here

updated 1/17 - go to page 3 for more sheep Smiley

Awww! So cute! I really like the sheep, a real flock of sheep or even just one or two would be awesome to have to spin yarn from their wool, but alas.... my parents aren't willing to move to a farm and feed more animals than our chihuahua, cockerpoo, and three cats.... damn!

Those sheep are so adorable that I might have to brush up my incredibly rusty crochet skills.  The place we go for herding lessons has had 6 babies since 12/23, but they're hair sheep not woolies.

Those are incredible! The sheep are adorable. I love their collars the fluffiness of the bodies - you really brought out the softness and wool texture of sheep!
And the kitten...too adorable for words. I love the scarf, by the way.

Those are just TOO, TOO cute!  Kiss  Great work!!!
Where did you find the pattern book?  I searched a few book sites (that search multi book sites) and can't find that ISBN anywhere.  Cry  I REALLY love those sheep and would love to be able to do a few, myself, if I could find that pattern somewhere...

oh those lambkins are too adorable!

Thanks everyone for such kind words! I really appreciate it!

Where did you find the pattern book?  I searched a few book sites (that search multi book sites) and can't find that ISBN anywhere.

Amazon Japan doesn't seem to have it - I found it on Kinokuniya, and every now and again I've found it on ebay.

Luck! I think I saw a Crochet Vol 4 may have come out....but I'm not sure (since I don't read japanese!) lol

EDITED:
All: If you aren't aware already, there is a great blog out there all about japanese crafts - they also have a listing of online book stores to fill your japanese craft book needs

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Great job on the flock of sheep! I love their cute faces and their fuzzy bodies. I just found some yarn that I think might work so I'm going to try a  little one. Yours are so cute.
