I made this for a swap on another site that I'm participating in.  It came out really well (if I don't say so myself).  They're not hard either, a little bit fiddly, but not too bad!

The tutorial I used suggested that you use buttons, but I had a cute little flower bead that I thought went just right with it, so I used it instead.

A lot of people make the bottoms really pretty too, but I was making myself blind stitching on this linen, so I did something simple!

EDIT:  I made another one!

This looks quite fabulous! I have wanted a new embroidery project for some time, so why not use this one? It looks so nice, and now that I know the name of it I even know what to google for Smiley

Cool!  I just bought this book  I like the patterns but not the project ideas.  Maybe I'll do a biscornu...

Thanks!

I decided to try this one and then remembered why I haven't done cross stitch in forever (short attention span)...
So I decided to try one from a felted sweater - worked beautifully - of course I immediately gave away my first effort without taking pictures and my MIL doesn't have a digi cam.
I'll post the next one - even though it isn't needlework, is it still a biscornu?

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

I think so!  I think the word is about the shape being quirky or irregular, not what it is actually made out of.

These were almost stretching it for me stitching wise, since I have the attention span of a fruit fly as well, but they're small enough (mine are around 30x30 stitches) that I managed to do them okay.  I can't wait to see yours, it sounds really neat!
