I bought a cheap white mirror that was on clearance and painted over the scratched frame with a quilted like pattern. I would like opinions since the only people who have seen it are family and they have a slightly biased opinion. Thanks!

I really like it.  I would love to be able to come up with a pattern like that and then paint it.

Wow what a gorgeous frame that is.  Like amylooooo, I was expecting something a little less impressive, but was amazed by your talent instead.  It looks like wrapping paper decoupaged on the mirror, only of course, much nicer.  I usually hang out in the "knitting" and "purses" forums, but you've given me a reason to become a "crafty housewares" regular.

I got it from a discount place here called Xcess Cargo. It's a terribly shoddy place with a horrible return policy and everything there is cheap.

I would think that you could find something similar at Home Sense or Home Outfitters or something. It's a pretty cheap mirror - 25 bucks or so - so maybe even at Ikea or Jysk.

I used acrylic paint and a teeeeny brush. I did the details (stitching and outline) with a black pen.

It does look professional - brilliant in fact! I bought some cheap mirrors to paint the frames up on but mine just won't end up as good as yours!
