Oh no!  I think it looks really nice-- very striking contrast.  You're too hard on your own block.

i think you did a great job, the seams all meet well. I think the different colours are ok, i bet once you put the other blocks around or sashing, it will all tie in well. What colour is the centre, is it apricot? cheers cyndi

Homerof2-I think it looks gorgeous!  It has great contrast, and in the end you will have a quilt that ties together!

Thanks for the nice comments - I am always hard on things I make, that's just my personality.  I have learned though that when I give something away, if I'm not happy about something on it, I don't say anything about it because, usually, no one else notices anyway  Smiley

It's actually cream and the flowers have a little brown in them.

Wow quenstalof, your friendly hand block looks great!  I love the colors (great for st. Patty's day) and it is so nicely sewn.  Mine doens't look nearly as good.  Though I blame my bad sewing tonight on an accident I had a few days ago.....I hit my head and had to get stitches.  Anyways here are my March blocks.  I used greens in the one for St. Patrick's day, but they are not nearly as vibrant as quenstalof's.

Notice how my friendly hand block is no where near being square, and I messed up one of the 4 patches and didn't notice until I took the picture.

wow.. beautiful blocks.  ctgirl, I love the fabrics in your ribbon block, and the blue bubble print in your friendly hand is fabulous.  quenstalof, your friendly hand is also amazing - I love the dark green fabric.

I'm excited because I cut out all my fabric for my two blocks today (and for the February blocks I missed - shhh.. don't tell)... hopefully I'll get them sewn next week!  And one day I'll even get photos!

Quenstalof, I love the greens you chose to use, so vibrant!

Ummm.....no!  Actually, after much searching I did find the little 'error' but, believe me, no one is going to notice other than when you point it out!  If it was in a whole quilt it might stand out but being with other kinds of blocks it won't be noticeable.

Wow!  Ya'll have done such a great job on the blocks!!  Smiley

I put my other sewing aside and finished 2 versions of each block again this month...a traditional material one and a kid print one.

On the ribbon block, my husband suggested I put the darker color in the middle instead of the outside.  I went against my gut and listened to him.  I'm not totally crazy about it, but I think it came out ok.   He likes it way more than me.

I can't wait to see everyone else's blocks.....Candace
