Homerof2: I LOVE your avatar!!! Did you make it? Do you have a larger picture of it?
I will make my blocks as soon as I have a little more time.. that would be from the 20th of Feb. And I still have to share my pics of the previous 2 blocks :-)

I kept my sewing machine and several large rubbermaids of fabric in my dorm room for two years.  I found the trick was a sturdy folding TV table to sew on and enough floor space to do my cutting (or using common areas).  Rubbermaids to hold everything worked well because they stacked (and if you don't like the asthetics, you just have to drape a piece of fabric over them).

Yes, I did make it!  You can see a larger picture in this post:

I got all the block patterns for it from the same web site that crazy_bc_jen has been getting the patterns for this craftalong.

Homerof2, that is gorgeous.  I hope you kept track of what blocks you used, because we should definitely do some of the same ones this year.  Now I am even more motivated to stick with this project.  Thanks for sharing.

I did two color wheel blocks this month.  The points don't match up well, but I don't think it's going to cost me my scholarship  Grin

hi i love all the quilts. to join in do you just post your blocks etc or do you have to officially sign up? either way i would love to join, i have a stack of fabric to use up and i love refreshing sampler techniques. my kids need new quilts so would love to join.  this sounds better than a swap cos everytime i make someone something, i love it than have to post it.
i love everyones blocks, they are great.

cheers cyndi

Hi Cyndi,

Just join in and post your blocks (or talk about them and other people's blocks if you don't have access to a camera).  And it is better than a swap in some ways, because you get to keep all the stuff you fall in love with.

Fortloop, your blocks look fabulous, as always.  You can't tell things don't match up if you don't look really closely Smiley  I'm digging the dark blue in the centre of the second 'wheel

Ever since cyndiq mentioned this craftalong to me I haven't been able to get it out of my head so here I am, wired and ready to join in Smiley

I'm a total quilting novice but very enthusiastic! I can hear the words 'measure twice, cut once' ringing in my head already. Tongue
