I was actually able to get some sewing done one evening this week and managed to get both June and July squares done.  I guess I'm in a pink/green stage - I picked the fabrics out for these squares at totally different times not realizing how similar they are.  I didn't put lace on the fan because that's not really my style also, I'm not totally happy with the background fabric so I may change it so the square doesn't look so plain.

First, I'm sorry for not getting August's blocks up right away... it completely slipped my mind.  Second, I feel like I'm cheating by posting August's blocks before I finish July's... bad Jen!

August's Blocks

Lazy, simple blocks for those lazy summer days...

Annie's Choice Block
This speedpieced beauty is all just triangles of the same two fabrics, but it's got a major impact.

Brasstown Star Block
This one somehow reminds me of tumbling blocks, but it's much easier to do...

Thanks for the blocks. Simple blocks are exactly what I needed this month. Hows the new job going crazy_bc_jen?

Those blocks are great, simply, but interesting.  Just what I need if I am ever going to get caught up.  But I need to finish my niece's quilt first, she is leaving for college in 2 weeks and I am not even finished piecing the blocks yet!

Great choices this month (sometimes simple is good) - and you've made it simple for me to decide which to make.  I've made the Brasstown Star Block before so I'm going to make the Annie's Choice block  Grin
