Bwahahahahaaa!

That's it. I've officially crossed the line into mad knitter territory. I've always found handknit socks to be a waste of money and effort and to top it all off, I don't even like this colourway! And yet...............I'm enjoying this.

It's Reynolds Swizzle sock yarn in colour 4008. My sister's girlfriend somehow knew about my secret desire to try sock knitting and gave me this one skien and a set of sock DPNs for xmas.

i had to lay my jaywalkers down... i got to turning the heel, picking up the stitches and began my decreases into the foot.  a fit of curiosity seized me and i decided to try them on.  lo and behold, they don't fit! i can't get them up my stupid calf.  i don't have huge legs, but i do mountain bike, and i think i cast on too tightly.  i've laid them down, depressed..... do you guys think they will stretch?  i'm really bummed, b/c i love the yarn, and it was my first time knitting on 0's.

I started my first pair last night, and was working on them today when one of my brittany needles broke!  I contacted them about a replacement already.  The website says it will be about 2 weeks! I have susan bates to hold me over until then, but I won't be as happy about it!

artery/xcat--
i think maybe using size 0 needles with this pattern may have caused problems?  did you adjust the pattern? use a diff yarn?  these could be huge probs, but i'm just trying to find the easiest answer to this problem  Undecided
hope it goes better if you decide to try it again!
