i ordered some lornas laces sock yarn with these socks in mind.... is this going to be an easy pattern for me? i have been knitting for a few years now.. can do lots of different things. but the only socks ive ever knit are the pippi longstockings from stitch and bitch book... and i knit those after a few months of learning to knit.... do i have to make any adjustments using this yarn??? im full of questions.. im nervous and excited!

I think you will be fine! This was my first ever attempt at knitting socks & although I had a couple of screw ups it was pretty easy. I even did mine magic loop with two circulars instead of DPN's.

My only advise about them is to try them on as you knit them. A ton of people on the other KAL have had issues with them being too tight.

I don't think you will need to make any adjustments for the Lorna's Laces Christy. I have seen a few finished pairs in LL & they were lovely!

Good luck!

Bronxie & Kadreath yours are looking great!

magic loop is not scary at all!  i love love love it.  (look at my Jaywalker's above...MAGIC LOOP).  just google "magic loop"  and you should get a lot of hits.  it's really a faboo technique. Grin

I got some Swizzle self-striping sock yarn for xmas but hate the free pattern on the label. Do you think it would work well for these?

My website is coming together nicely! Please send me feedback, as I don't know how well it works on systems other than mine.

Also, I have a blog at  http://neglectedblog.blogspot.com/

Definitely  Swizzle is 7.5 spi so the gague is about right, and you should have more than enough with 416 yards per ball!

Screw the pattern on the label - get with us Smiley
