A Bag a Month Craftalong?

I haven't forgotten about this craftalong, yet!  I love everyone's purses so far and am slightly jealous of your abilities to find some of the most awesome fabrics! 

I've been furiously working on a knitted/felted messenger bag and have come to the conclusion that the pattern may have been off when it comes to the amount of yarn needed.. ...thus making me go and try to find more with the same dye lot.  So at the end of the month, you may be seeing a pre-felted, no handle-d, half-gusseted bag.

I'm working on knitting a bag out of plastic carrier bags...however I left it at home when I moved into uni halls so I will not be able to continue until Saturday. I miss my neeeeeedles!

LOL!    I've felt (no pun intended) the same way about a lot of my projects.  They just don't want to go in the direction I wanted them to go in.

I guess a real artist lets the medium decide what the message is going to be.

Yay! I got a second one done before the end of the month!

Here's bag #2 for January.

I used leftover Baby Lash in 'Girly' to make the body and the flap, a little bit of light green gingham I've had for a while was the lining and a wee little pink button to finish it off.

So here is it!

Everyone's bags are so awesome!  All you over-achieving, two-bags-a-month people are putting me to shame. 

I didn't have any time this weekend to work on my bag.    I'll have to make an effort to work on it during the week.
