OMG. I got mine today!!!  I was so excited cuz I mailed mine out this morning I forgot about getting one. I jumped out of my chair when my mom said, "?happy un birthday?"

ahh, i had such a lovely morning, enjoying a cup of coffee by the creek while openning my box...and it reminded me of a clown car-more and more things kept coming out, gifts inside of gifts.  so, here's most of the contents:

we have a lovely decoupaged recipe box, a travel-magnet-insect-pocket-game , a lil' penguin and superball, which came in the felt purse with a daisy, a handmade book that has "mysterious" and an eye stamped onto the cover, a marilyn pin-homecooked, i believe, a quartet of stylin' bracelets with very fun little face and ladybug beads, an origami kimono-clad lady, a felt purse with the signature strip of film (my first clue to the sender ), and a sweet sachet of something familiar-yet-unidentifiable (what is that ?  it's gorgeous!)

and as if that all weren't enough, a windchime that makes my baby girl absolutely vibrate with excitement!  and i love it too-beautiful!

I GOT MINE TODAY!!!!!!!!! it's so cool! thanks kabili!!!! you rock!!! but i don't have a digi cam, so you'll need to post the ones you took! thanks so much! i got 2 bracelets, a wrist pouch thing, and **drum roll please** a super awesome purse! well, my mom says it's a travel jewelry holder, but i think i'm gonna use it as a purse! it's red and white!!!! but all my gifts ROCK!!!!!! thanks again! i hope my swapee likes her gift!

As soon as I get my *@$^*&$ camera to work, I will take pictures of the AMAZING soaps & notebooks... I am in awe. The box was like that Mary Poppins bag, there just kept being more.
&-- perhaps the most amazing part, the soaps and lotion that Naturbuf HANDMADE do not contain chamomile, to which I am way allergic!
The labels all have my name on them, too.
 The only problem is now I feel like the stuff I made is just schlumpy:)

I'm glad everyone is getting their packages!    and I'm glad people are pleased!

and guess what?!?  I just got my super awesome gifts from mari!    she made me a fantastic purse, a mix cd (with all bands I don't know!  I'm in for a new music treat!   ) that came in a cute little grey felt bag that's the perfect size to hold the cd case that I made for this summer.  she also sent along the little notebook that she all told us about in another thread!  wow, I'm amazed!   what an awesome end to this icky week!  

the mix cd has the alice in wonderland unbirthday song on it.  hehe.  and the front pocket on the purse is perfect for my cd player!

mari, you said you took pics...  could you post them for me?  thank's so much, hun!  it's all awesome!

YAY! i'm so glad you liked the stuff i made, elephantfanatic! i was a little worried since they were ... experiemental crafts. here's some pictures: (and can i add another YAY! that i figured out how to get pictures from our dig cam, to my husband's computer, to our personal web site, and finally to craftster! whew!)

first, my experiments with beaded crochet, which led to these bracelets...



then, my experiment with creating a pattern for a bag. elephantfanatic, your clever mom gets points because the pattern that my bag was based on was, indeed, a jewelry pouch. but i wanted mine to be square. and then it became a little bigger. and then i thought if i added longer drawstrings, it could be more of a small-ish purse. (and so on.) so here's that:



i liked how it kinda looks like a pyramid when the drawstrings are pulled closed. on the inside, each "side" of the pyramid has a inner pouch.

and finally, a non-experimental gift was a arm band/wrist pouch, from our fearless leader, leah's, tutorial.  i don't know if you can see it in the picture, but it has contrasting topstitching all around the edges.


i did have one more gift that i wanted to include (involving more beaded crochet) that was a failed experiment.   but maybe if i ever figure it out, elephantfanatic will get an extra, belated un-birthday gift!

oooh, i received my package yesterday afternoon! (it took me this long - after dance class last night - to figure out how to do all the picture-related stuff i mentioned in my previous post. sorry for the delay!)

my gifts were from abricot, aka "rox" (roxanne) and they are awesome! thanks you!

i got a purse/tote bag that I plan to use to carry my knitting works-in-progress. it has a cute felt applique in a leaf motif. here's a pic:



inside, was a cool knitted choker with an off-center flower. i think this will have to a cool weather accessory for me since it's often hot and humid where i live, but my kids at the school where i work will be impressed with my hip-ness. hehe.



and last but not least, there was a neat knitted drawstring bag. it's a good size for hanging on your wrist when you don't want a big purse.



the colors on this remind me of dessert - like a fudge sudae or brownie a la mode. with a cherry on top. hehe. rox, did you plan this, or was it a happy coincidence?

at any rate, this swap has been so much fun, both creating and receiving - thanks everyone!

I feel like such an ungrateful dork! I recieved my awesome gift on friday - but I was cleaning my house on tuesday and tossed the the paper with my gifters name on it  . I'm soooo sorry! I absolutely love my gift, "_____".  

I opened my mailbox on friday evening and found a HUGE box waiting for me. It was all I could do to wait until I got home to open it!!! The first item that I pulled out of the box was the coolest beatles message board ever! oh my god! It has a red felt frame with an album single "we can work it out" on the upper right side and felt words that say "The Beatles" on the left with cute little felt flowers sprinkled here and there. It was so well done! My gifter also gave me a cute bag filled with lavender simmering potporrie (sarie aboot mi shpelin sckiils -thae stinc). I love lavender! And the last thing that I pulled out of the box were two yummy vanilla smelling oatmeal soaps! I have them out to dry, and every time I pass them I think they're a cookie or something! mmm. . . vanilla . . . ahhh. . . .
