Often, local orgganizations can really use old craft supplies, even if its odds and ends. Consider calling ahead, though, and be aware, many times glitter cannot be used in hospitals.
Scrapbooking papers, stickers, yarn, ribbons, sanded wood pieces, felt and material can often be used by preschools and Senior Centers. Also, womens shelters and VA (Veterans Administration) hospitals may be able to use the same supplies, as well as paints and canvas, embroidery, and craft kits like jewelry making.. Arts and crafts can be very therapeutic...

FACET is a UK Charity which teach students which have learning or other disabilities

FACET teaches life skills, craft, cooking, employability, woodwork, horticulture and much more

We have 95 students and they love their craft making, always a smile and never a bad word.

Due to government cuts our funding has also stopped and we have therefore to do much more to try and keep going.
Many of our students would become just a lost figure on paper.

We realise we are in the UK  but hope someone will be able to help us

This is a lot of really good info.

I know my Mom's Church has an outreach to local kids and they can always use materials, big and small, for craft projects. One local business donates papers that have nothing but numerical reports on one side so the kids can color or paint on the other side. Having paper donated for stuff like that really helps their budget.

From bmoney11239

Hello Everyone,

My name is Bryan Cohen, and i am here representing the company i work for, Barrier Free Living.
We are a Non-Profit org, working with domestic violence and Homeless people with disabilities.
This is labeled a NYC shetler for people with disabilities, but we remain Nonprofit.
The client are in desperate need of some art and craft supplies for our Occupational Therapy Deptarment.
The Clients have a really minimal selection of things to do, and we would like to help them with as many physical creative functions they might have left.
We have tried to order them through many places, but as time went on the supplies became more and more depleted.

You can reach me at my Email bryanscohen@gmail.com
For more information on our programs and what we are about, you can go to...
www.bflnyc.org.
I can also be reach at my job email, Bryanc@bflnyc.org
Please any help you can give us would be awesome..
You can also reach the OT Supervisor and confirm whatever that is needed, by dialing (212)677-6668 Ext: 145
Ask for Patricia Motus.

Thank You Again!
Bryan Cohen!
