For Christmas, my best friend Daniel bought me this beautiful rainbow beetle bracelet. (I had to show off this great gift.)

Daniel is a freshman at Columbia in Chicago, and he will be moving into a new apartment soon. I'm still a sophomore in high school, and I'd like to make him something for his new home. His birthday is in a few weeks. Daniel is very artsy, romantic, and loves film.

Any gift ideas?

You look like your mother
In that thin disguise
Your parting mout
Your shining eyes
And the way that you hate me
And the length of your hair
It's the reason I make you
It's the bond that we share
Cos you were all trying to endure it
You could easily go and make your own life somewhere
Couldn't you?

I don't know what...

But black and white photos of old classic actors like Audrey Hepburn.

Maybe just the pictures in frames. Maybe a Decoupage box of the photos...I dunno, but you could easily print them off the internet on nice photo paper and at a high resolution.

Oh, and since he is moving into an appartment, I bet he would love pictures to hang or things to put out.

Isn't Columbia in New York? Anyway, gifts I received when I first moved out were things like stationary and stamps so that I could write to my friends back home, a set of pillowcases and sheets a friend handmade for me, several framed photo collages, towels, a bathrobe and a laundry bag with my initials embroidered on them. I really liked all of those gifts. I'm sure your friend will enjoy whatever you give him!
