On "Secrets of ..." (Food channel)  They showed how the make the Egg McMuffin.  The egg is cracked into a ring mold, then the yolk is broken,  sprinkled with a little water, then covered while it cooks.  The English muffin is toasted, then toped with a slice of American cheese, a slice of grilled Canadian bacon and then the cooked egg.
