My mom has a billion patterns from her sewing heyday that I decided to steal. I call this one my new "skipping through a field of daisies with a cute boy" dress. It overall was a very simple pattern once I figured out how to make gathers. The tie in the back was sooooo hard though, but that's because I'm not the greatest seamstress yet.

That is a very pretty dress.  =)  I love the lacing in the back!

Why thank you. There were several other styles of dress, but this one had the best back. The others were dumb.

The mom is very handy like that, especially when I don't know what the hell I'm doing. She's fabulous.  I'm glad you like the fabric. It's an old sheet, possibly as old as the pattern. This dress was really a practice before I ripped up my cartoon character sheets. I'm so glad I don't suck as much at sewing as I had previously assumed.

The dress is fantastic!  I'm sure it will inspire all the cute boys to go skipping with you!

Ashley! So cute, you did a fabulous job! I love the sheet, is it terribly sheer?

So far no cute boys to skip with, yet, at least not in the area... And, my darling Goddess, ask yourself if you can see the color of my undies in those pictures. If you think they're a kind of red with a yellow band, you're right. So, yeah, it's a touch sheer, but I'll figure something out.
